Are mismatched tires OK?

I have a '99 Altima. It's seems my front end alignment has been off, resulting in poor wear on my 2 year old 45K mile Bridgestone Potenza RE930 tires (H rated). The rear tires seem OK, so I thought I'd just change the front tires and get an alignment.

Bridgestone doesn't make the same model anymore. How much of an issue to put on a different Bridgestone model, or to install a completely different model tire (still H rated)?

Shouldn't be a problem if you use the proper size tire. While it is preferable to have matching tires all the way around the main thing is for the tires on the same axle [front or back] to match.

Mark is right on - the tires on the same axle (especially drive wheels) should match. Front to back on a non-four wheel drive not so important. On an all or four wheel drive, all four tires should match.
