Exclamation 4-wheel drive not working, 2002 Explorer

So, I have a 2002 Ford Explorer and I cannot get the 4-wheel drive to engage.

I have 3 selections on the dash (4-wheel auto, 4x4 high, and 4x4 low) and none of them seem to work. I was driving in the rain and the back passenger wheel was spinning and I wasn't getting the normal 4x4 Auto response. I've checked the fuse and it seems ok to look at (doesn't look burnt out visually). None of the indicators seem to turn on (buttons have lights and the instrument panel has an indicator). I read about modules in the manual (located in the engine compartment) but I don't know how to tell if they're bad. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

There has to be some type of relay that controls this. Get a Chiltons manual and see. I'm not to familiar with this new age 4 wheel drive. I'm used to the manual locking the hub 4 wheel drive.
