Need Quick Help

I'm changing the transmission fluid on my 2004 F150 and have found a mystery part. It was in the transmission pan when I removed it. It's yellow plastic, about 1 1/2 inches long and has an oring on it. I made a couple of pictures of it that you can see at: http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=331&folderid=255588&groupid=324261&folderview=thumbs&ck=

Hopefully someone can tell me where it goes; or, that it really doesn't belong in there.

THANK YOU.

It's a useless plug Ford puts in there vehicles. Throw it away.

Try this link. It will tell you it's useless there.

Ford puts that plug in BEFORE they put the actual transmission dip stick part. It's meant to fall into the pan after they install the dipstick. It has nothing to do with driveability so don't be scared to throw it away.
