Question 1982 Toyota Pickup Windshield Wipers

Does anybody know how to remove the wiper arms from the rotating shaft? My shop manual has a dinky little drawing which doesn't show much of anything. There is no screw visible, and I don't want to pull the arm off and break anything.

Take a peek under the arm, right where it attaches to the splined shaft. If you see a small metal clip, press it up into the arm as you pull the arm from the shaft. Some arms have a spring "clip which engages a groove on the shaft, to keep the arm from coming off. Assuming that it hasn't been removed in 24 years, it won't be easy it lift the arm off. You may have to pry a bit.

Peeked under the arm, could not find any clip or release. Also, decided not to use the suggested pry bar method (luckily).
Drove down to the dealer and the person at the parts counter showed me that the elbow cover flips up and underneath there is a nut which holds the arm onto the threaded pivoting shaft.

Thanks for reporting back. That's something to add to my memory bank.
