Question Windsheild question

I have a '83 ford pickup truck that im scraping out and it has a good windshield in it. I was going to take it out and try to sell it but I cant get it off. Its glued on and I tried to get a putty knife in the glue but its to stiff. How do I get the glass out???
Or should I just leave it on and haul it to the junkyard for $80 a ton?

Take it out and get what you can.

After skinning our knuckles a little with putty knives, we have been known to sit in the front seat and push them out with our feet. I'm not sure what page of the Chilton manual that's on.

Hope this helps - be careful,

Bob

They actually make a tool for that. It's kinda like a sharp hook, slip it in and just run it around the outside. It cuts out pretty easy. Best bet is to go to a winsheild instalation place and look at how they do it. They might even know where you can sell it real quick like too.

Well I tried to get it out today and I was doing good then all hell broke loose. That tary stuff was just to thick, if it was warmer then 20 deg that probably would have helped too. Thanks for the help though.
