99 F250 Headlamp removal ?'s

Have 99 F250 SD 4x4 and need to replace both headlamps because they are no longer clear. The problem is I can get them loose. There are two metal clips that appear to have to be pulled up and each has two arms on the side that lock it in. Is there a special tool needed for this or is there a trick I haven't figured out yet?

No longer clear? You just talking about the plastic shield? I use MaGuires PlastX on my headlamps to keep them nice and clear. They also sell wet sanding cleaning kits for them.

Second that; there are a number of products that do a pretty decent job at a fraction the cost of new lenses.

Thanks for the reply guys. I wish I'd have checked with ya first but I've already ordered and received the new headlamps from 1A Auto. I am going to see about the polishing products and how that works and possibly returning these if it does. I had just assumed the lens were glass but you are right they are plastic.

I am still curious though, is there a particular tool used for this clip removal?
