ford taurus 1999 44000 miles ABS light comes on when turning right

disappears if i turn off the engine and restart the car. comes on again if a make a sharp turn to right. sometime when i am using brakes there is a stuttering noise. there is enough brake fluid and the brakes seems to work OK otherwise.
am i looking for expensive repair or something easy to do it at home?

Most likely a ABS brake sensor mounted near the brake rotors. I've never changed one out before, but it may be just a plug and play type sensor. After install, the light should go away, and/or need it removed my a code scanner.

problem disappeared after i topped the power steering fluid

go figure. the power steering fluid was low and the steering was heavy. both the steering and ABS problems are gone for now. thanks for the input.
