Question 2000 Voyager Window Motor

the motor in the drivers door quit. it is stuck down. we bought the manual (haynes) and the part, but cant figure out how to change it. i'm afraid to just start loosening bolts, don't want to break the glass.

it says to "remove the door glass retaining glass and allow window to rest on the bottom of the door"

thats where i'm stuck. i don't know what they mean, and there is no diagram. the rest "looks" ok enough to figure out. HELP!!

You should be able to losen some screws on the rail that the window goes up on. Once these are losened, you should be able to move the window manually. The window will be sitting on a rail with some arms that lift the window up and down.
