My Camry got whacked a few weeks ago, and while it was in the body shop (they did a gorgeous job!) I had a rental.
To my surprise, my right hip "sciatica" went! I've heard Camry seats aren't so good, and I guess it's true.
What's a good 'bolt-in' replacement, a seat out of an Avalon, maybe? Mine isn't a power seat, though. Or perhaps a re-upholsterer?
Any body done this, swapped a seat?

Was the rental also a Camry? It's not clear if the sciatica pain occurred in the rental or your car. Since most sciatica is based on the lower spine, I would try a new configuration for the seat - height, distance from steering wheel, and back angle.
Wife and I both have Camry's. Ours both also have lumbar adjustments, and if you have that feature, I would change it also. I often spend 6 hours a day in mine and love it.

Thanks, G/S:
The rental was a Focus, & The pain went away because of new seats, I'd presume.
Never thought of a back support, though; so it's off to the local achie-back shop to see if there's something I can plop on the seat 'neath the posterior!
Happiest of Thanksgivings to you, your family & the Automotive Forums team
