'92 jimmy trailer lights

I have a 1992 gmc jimmy and got a trailer for it and need to wire up the lights. My problem is I cant find anywhere to splice into the wires except taking out the tail lights and splicing them in at the light. Is there some place I missed underneith where the wires run?

You will have to find the wiring harness that goes to your lights and tap into them.

You will most likely need a multimeter or circuit tester bulb to determine which wire is what. It's not that hard. The harness most likely is near your rear bumper and frame rail underneith.

Thought this was a pickup at first. In your case, the harness nay be running through the inside. Are there any panels you can pull off in the trunk area?

I looked all over underneith and only could find wires for the fuel pump. I took the tail light out and the wire runs into a small hole so I cant see where it goes so Im sure its up inside somwhere. It looks like its going to be a pain in the butt. There maybe a panel I can get off and see whats back there. I guess I got another project for tomorrow.
