94 Cadillac Deville A/C bypass

I have a 94 Deville 4.9 ltr that has a bad A/C compressor. Does anyone know how I can bypass the compressor? There are bypass pullies, but not one for a 94 Cadillac. Any suggestions are welocome.

You should be able to use a 93's bypass pulley. These engines should be identical.

Depending on the configuration of the accessories you may also be able to get away with simply using a belt length for a non-a/c version of your car.

Morning Tow Guy. Would Cadillac have actually made any non-airconditioned cars in '94, or were you giving this suggestion as just a general possibility?

I think you could just tear out the compressor. (have the freon reclaimed by someone 609 certified) and use a shorter belt

Good question, thiggy. Do you suppose caddy drivers in Alaska have a/c? Guess maybe Caddy, being high-end, puts it on everything.
