stripped lug nut

Unhappy stripped lug nut

i have a 93 jeep grand cherokee with a flat tire. the lug nuts are recessed into the rim. as my luck goes the head on one of them stripped any ideas on how to get it off.

Most decent tire stores have a special socket to remove rounded off lug nuts (like this: http://www.brandsplace.com/0246-ken30115.html). Call around to be sure and then have it towed in.

just a thought

Jeep likes to use a thin metal cap over the lug nuts to make it look like a chrome nut. IF this cap is the problem you can remove it and use an 18 mm socket [instead of the 19mm]
