Hello my good men
I have a guest staying with me and his 99 olds alero2.4 liter 4cyl fuel injected is acting up. On acceleration the car will sputter if pedal is not pressed slow and steady. if you push to the floor, very slow acceleration and service engine soon and low traction light both come on. He had a OBDII computer diagnostic come back with with a misfire on cyl1 being the reason for the service soon light. It gets worse after extended running. Starting is fine. Idles fine. Holds highway speed fine. He has removed the coil and distribution housing and did a visual. Looked fine. Plugs fine.
What do you think?? Thanks

If it was this code:
A code P0301 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* Faulty spark plug or wire
* Faulty coil (pack)
* Faulty oxygen sensor(s)
* Faulty fuel injector
* Burned exhaust valve
* Faulty catalytic converter(s)
* Running out of fuel
* Poor compression
* Defective computer
I would lean more towards a bad coil pack. If not that, a clogged fuel filter/pump
