02 pontiac grand am wheel promlem
my 02 grand am gt has been making a rubbing noise in the left front wheel, i change the brakes even though they didnt look bad, a friend keeps telling me its the barrings, how can i be for sure , and are they easy to change or what, im not much of a mechanic ,but i can do some things. please help

Raise the front one wheel at a time and see if you can move the wheel any. If you have play in it, it's probably the wheel bearings.
If you aren't comfortable with mechanic work, I would have those replaced at a shop. They can be a little difficult if you're not used to dealing with it.

an addition to what Bob said, your bearing will usually make a humming noise, mostly when turning, but straight as well. If not the bearings, it could be the CV joints.
