Question Acceleration won't self adjust 87 Dodge 600 series

Did brake overhaul on my 1987 Dodge 600 Series (sedan). Brakes work fine but when turn over car the acceleration does not self adjust back down like it used to; I mean that it won't go down to curb idle from cold. I'm afraid to burn up my engine. Also overhauled fuel system, i.e. new thermostat, thermoswitch, new fuel injector (electronic), and new fuel sensor (regulator). Problem still not resolved. Anybody have any ideas???

Do you mean it won't go down to curb idle after starting it when cold or after hot or do you mean something else?
