Broken stud, Subaru catyletic convertor

Hello
If you can help please.
What is the correct way to remove a broken stud and replace it .

if the stud is still sticking out try puting to nuts on it tighen nuts together then turn. you may need to heat the area around the stud with torch if the stud was broke due to trying to remove good luck

If you are unable to get a bite on the stud with vise grips you may need to drill out the center of the stud and use an easy out to remove it.
