new radiator, plastic or metal housing

am buying a new radiator and can get either a metal housing or plastic. original radiator had a plastic housing. any pros , cons on plastic vs metal. thanks

A lot of them are plastic anymore. Either is likely to carry you through your ownership of the car.

In looking at an advantage the metal would be easier (much easier) to repair.

I agree. You can fix metal alot easier then plastic. Cheap plastic housing parts have a tendancy to get weak over time allowing the cheap plastic fastners to tear out.
