We have a 2004 Kia Amanti and we keep getting a check engine light every so often. We,ve brought it back to the dealer 4 times, they,ve changed sparkplugs e sensors and we still keep getting it. Do you think they program the computor so we have to keep bringing it back? They should have fixed it by now. Enough is enough,Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

See if you can find out what the codes were and post back with them. Or alternatively, go by an Auto Zone or other parts house and have the codes read (they'll do it for free) and post them.
You're not paying additional $$$ when you return each time, right? If you paid to have it fixed, any subsequent return trips should not be billed for. Or is this warranty work?

That would be unlikely
The computer would have to be "flashed", and that's usually from the factory
I suppose it's possible, but if they could re-prog the comp, they are not making the most of it by having an in-warranty vehicle throw small error codes

Pretty unlikely. If they were going to do something underhanded like that, they would surely do it to someone's vehicle that wasn't under warranty. Also the negative P.R. (you've probably mentioned it to one or two of your friends) would offset any gain.
Have you spoken to the Service Manager about it? I don't mean a service writer or the HEAD service writer or the ASSISTANT Service Manager, but THE Service Manager.
I notice the dates are each about six months apart, so I'm afraid the answer is going to be a shoulder shrug. Although it's annoying I'm sure, I doubt they will think it's much of a big deal as it would have been if the occurences were six days apart, or six weeks.

lemon law
You might qualify for the lemon law. I would look into it quick before warranty runs out. Maybe you can get a new car or your money back. Not sure how it works.
