351m woes
i posted 2 days ago on this prob. engine rotates but will not start .it tries to start when i let off the key.i changed out the pick up stat,it fired right up 1st tim i touched the key. went out today to leave,same problem.this time the starter kept turning after i turned off the key.any ideas ?

It could be in the ignition switch or the solenoid for the starter. I would find the solenoid. They're usually on the fender, passenger side, depending on the year.
They would have a battery cable on one post and the cable to the starter on the other side.
One of the small wires attached is the activation wire. Use a test light to make sure its coming on and going off with the switch. If that's ok, it would be the solenoid contacts are either fused together or the mechanism that forces them together is seizing in the on position.
The solenoids aren't too expensive, about $15.00, when I last bought one. Easy to replace.
