1990 Toyota 4X4 noise.
Hey all.
My neighbor has a 1990 Toyota SR5 4X4 extended cab with a V6.
It's got a strange noise that appears at approxamitly 30 - 35 mph. It's coming from around the front drivers side. The noise sounds sorta like a flat spot in a bearing or something yet there's no real vibration in the stearing wheel but it sounds terrible. The strange part is that if he hits a bump just the right way or jerks the wheel the right way it will stop for a bit and then come right back. He has had new rotors, brakes and the mechanic claims that the wheel bearings looked good and they were re-packed, he also had the front differential fluid changed.
