91 Pizm is opposite my girl when hot.....

It doesnt turn on like her... It runs fine and what not, done all maintanence and such but if i let it get to some temp unknown it seems as if a sensor is not letting it start (imo). It doesnt crank when this happens. The lights dont dim when i turn the key. The starter, cables, rotor, dist. cap, wires, battery (tested), ignition switch, and clamps are all new. Once its cooled down itll be fine. I'm thinking maybe the ignition module but havent gotten to it yet and thought i'd see if anyone has had this problem and found a fix. Tnx in advance.

Does the engine turn over at all or are you getting nothing? If the engine isn't turning then it's not the ignition module. When it does this again check the voltage at the starter while someone tries to start the car. You should be geting 12V. If not check the wire going to the solenoid from the ignition switch. I know you have a new ignition switch but it could be something in the wiring between the two. Sounds to me like a relay or wiring.

Theres no power at the starter when this happens... but it only does this when its hot or been ran a while. Once it cools off its fine.

I'm not familiar with your car. Is the starter solenoid on the starter or somewhere else? When you say there is no power at the starter do you mean from the battery or from the ignition switch?

It sounds like an ignition problem.
Get a new or known good used ignition take off the bezel around the sterring column and unplug the ign. and plug the new one in and try that first.
