Waxed car leaving hard to remove white residue

I waxed my '02 Chevy Tahoe a few days ago. Bought a new motorized polisher/buffer too. I think I made the mistake most first timers do and that's using to much wax. However, I buffed extra long, however, there are places where this hardened white residue is still showing and it looks terrible. I can't hardly get some of these places off with water, a rag, and elbow grease. Any ideas?

Apply some more wax and buff while it is still wet. The white stuff is dried wax, the new wax will help break it down and than you will be able to buff it out.

Bingo...I also used a different, more expensive, kind.
