Unhappy 94 olds cutlass supreme

I am having a problem with my cutlass supreme. On some occasions the amp meter shows charging is fine and the car runs good. On some occasions, even with a new battery, the volts drop to around 8 volts, blinkers wont work, car doesn't want to run. I am thinking that it is a problem with the computer module. Can anyone tell me where to locate the computer module on this vehicle or maybe any other insight to what this problem may be?

I would start with the altenator. Auto Zone will check it for free. I could be wrong but I doubt it is the computer.

I worked on a vehicle like that once
Turned out to be the solenoid
Was live short inside which drew power massivly some of the time when it hit the right bump

altenater

I agree with imcold, I have a 97 olds that did the same thing. It pretty much stayed at 8 volts or so, thats what I did, I took it to autozone and it was crap, be careful though, some cars like mine are sold as a 1997 and the engine was a 1998 so i got home and found I had the wrong alt. good luck put a voltmeter on the alimeter or battery, you should see 14 volts or so when the car is running,
