little volvo quirks

Hello..i am single mom with a used volvo sedan..86..167,000 miles- it is good little car i bought to downgrade finances- before i take it into a shop where i know noone and get ripped off- can anyone tell me i have 2 glitches-could they be related and is it something i can check myself- first, the day i bought it the owner had realized the gas tank indicator stopped working- i keep it topped off- but it is a bit scary to me- then...all at once yesterday-the turn signals just stopped working- the headlights still work- but nothing, no click, no light , no anything at one time-the just stopped working. so this makes it hard to drive legally and safety wise, even many people these days DONT ever use their turn signals..lol... it just feels like a fuse or something got disconnected or maybe it could be linked to the gas gauge? anyway-i cant afford to get ripped of and if i have good information-better luck with the shop...thanks, rachele

 

It could be 1 of 3 things for your turn signals,
1. The turn switch its self has gone bad, try wiggling it when in turn posisition.
2.Blowin fuse
3.The relay has gone bad
