Can anyone tell me what this hose is called?
1996 Camaro RS 3.8 This hose burst and I just don't know what it is called to order it. Anyone know what the name of it is?

Not sure how to post a photo. I will try a few ways.. Guess I need help with that too.

Ummm...Hotin and DaVe...I know what you guys are saying, but I'm not sure that's being helpful to the poster...know what I mean?
briggette;
It goes from the heater core to where?
It looks like it's going to the water pump
Is that right?

not sure which hose you are referring to in the pic. Can you explain.
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but many hoses are going to be OEM only. I have found this to be the case all too often. If so, you are relegated to two choices; buy it from GM; or, figure out a way to make the hose from readily available parts.
Apparently you have already spoken to a dealer. Did they give you a part number? I have found some very helpful parts guys. I'll bet if you ask them, they will tell you what they call it.

The dealer can even print out a picture of it for you with the part number
They probably wouldn't if they knew you were looking somewhere else for it, but they can
It probably won't be needed though, if you were going to try parts store, you can say you need "the hose from the heater core to the water pump" (or wherever it goes)
They'll either find it on there parts list, have a diagram and find it, or they'll have "no listing" or "OEM only" listing (the last two mean dealer only)

Hose was OEM 175.00!
Okay, I had to order the hose from GM today. Cost 175.00. Insaine! It goes from the waterpump to heatercore. I was trying to order it through GM online to avoid the higher price at the local dealer but wasn't able to come up with the name of the exact part and the numbers on the hose didn't match up to any part.
Thanks for the replys...

Bummer
If it's that specific a hose (some custom end deal), even NAPA and Autozone may actually use a GM sourced part
They often do if there's not enough call for someone else to make the part, and it's often not cheaper
Good luck with the install

If you were looking to save cost you can actually use normal hose and a hose clamp to attach it to the heater core,(I have done this many times due to customers request) and it does not leak.Sorry i couldnt save you $$$$ this time.

know how to post pics, so I never bothered to click on her link, presuming it was a dead end, and just advised based on minimal info as she never said what the hose did and I presumed she never knew since she did not say what the hose went to in her OP.

I agree with AC Guy
Heater hose and gear clamps does the job. Better as a matter of fact because you get rid of the plastic couplings.
They are bad here in Canada this time of year.

Dumb plastic ends crack in the worst of times: -26 C weather going thru 2 foot snowdrifts on a back road going into work at 7 PM
