1999 Ford Explorer washer fluid not working

I have a 1999 Ford Explorer that does not spray washer fluid upon depression of the spray mechanism inside the car.

Does anyone have any ideas why this would happen, and know how difficult it would be to fix? Thanks

Can you hear the washer pump try and come on? If you can hear it, you probably have a clog, if not, you need to replace washer pump.

It is not very difficult too do this. Trace back the little black hoses that go from the spray nozzles to the pump.

If you are handy with a multimeter, you can test for voltage at the pump electrical connector while depressing washer switch.

I can definiately hear the whirring noise of the washer fluid pump, but no liquid comes out. Could it be a clog? And if so, how can I remove it? Thanks!
