Cruise Control Problem
I have a 1988 Chevrolet Silverado that the cruise control is not working on.
I have checked the fuse block and all of the fuses are O.K.. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

I had the same kind of problem on a Chevy Impala. it also coincided with the air vents only blowing "defrost" no matter what was selected.
Turned out to be a vacuum leak. I found the vacuum canister near the Battery and found a bad line going out of the canister. fixed the line and fixed both problems. Hope this helps.

Pretty common for wires to break in the switch on the stalk on the steering column - just had this replaced on my wife's Olds to the tune of $287.
