New Brake Job But The Brakes Are Still Scraping

Im Hearing Metal On Metal When I Push On The Brake. I Just Got A Brake Job Like 5 Days Ago. I Dont Understand Why This Is Happening, Does Anyone Have Any Clue? The Mechanic Said Something About Synthetic Brake Pads And I Dont Even Know What That Means. Dodge Neon 2005 Is My Car.
Help?

Welcome to the diy forums!

Did the mechanic ride in the car to hear the scraping sound?

Did you just get front brakes? were the back brakes inspected/replaced? rotors or drums turned?

Sounds To Me Like You May Have A Stone Stuck Somewhere Check Your Backing Plate By Getting A Large Screw Driver And Pushing It Away From The Rotor From Through The Wheel.
