Noise while accelerating
I have a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, 5.0 L, V8. When I accelerate I hear a hissing/light rattling noise coming from underneath where the accelerator is. It doesn't affect performance, but I hear it every time I accelerate and it goes away when I am coasting. Any ideas?

Sounds like an axhaust leak or vacuum line leak. Inspect your exhaust system to include the exhaust manifolds coming off the engine.
