Need to find radio code '03 Honda Odyssey

I bought the car used and the power went out. I need to enter the radio code but don't have it. I looked on the glove box for the code, but it's not there. Is there anywhere else it may be? If I have to get the serial # off the back of the radio, how hard is it to get back there?

Thanks for your help.

Found this elswhere on the web:

Make sure your radio is OFF. Hold down the preset buttons 1 and 6 at the same time. Turn the radio on and your SERIAL NUMBER will appear. 4 numbers first and then 4 more (there may be a U before the first 4 and L after the next). Write them down (obviously) then call (800) 999-1009 (American Honda). Tell them what you want, and they will ask for your VIN number, name and approx. milage, current address and your radio's serial number. They will then give you your radio unlock code!!! And they advised in case it doesn't work, the dealer from whom I bought the car should be able to help.

If that doesn't work, browse the entire link that procedure came from as there is other info available:

If the advise from towguy doesn,t produce anything, take out the stereo and write down the model and s/n numbers from the bottom of the stereo and call your honda dealer with the vin and these numbers they will get the unlock code for you, or buy an aftermarket stereo.

While surfing to find that procedure I came across a commercial site where you do the #1-#6 button routine, then give them the number and for only $28.99 they will tell you the code. Assuming the other site is correct, they must take your number, call the 800 Honda number, get the code, and pass it on to the sucker, er I mean customer. Wonder how many people they actually scam.

The 1 & 6 trick worked like a charm! It gave me the SN and Honda is getting me the code. Saved me $85 the dealer would have charged me to do the same thing. Thanks for the help!
