Serpentine belt coming off

I have a 93 Ford 150, 4.9 6 cy. My serpentine belt keeps coming off. Something is causeing it to work to the back of the pulleys , and then it starts cuting the belt to the point it gets hung up and off. I replaced the idler pulley, all the pulleys appear to be inline and turning smooth. Does anyone have any ideas to look at? Thanks

Take a look at your belt tensioner pulley. Sometimes these get weak allowing the tension to be relieved.

Water Pump - 90 Nissan Maxima - needs to be replaced

As stated I have a 90 Nissan Maxima that has a bad water pump and needs to be replaced. I do not have any experience with engine maintenance but I am a very competent person and not afraid of taking on new challenges. With a manual and a decent set of instructions I can do almost anything. Here is my question: Is this something I should take on myself to save money or just give in to my mechanic and fork over 400$!? This car is starting to get a little expensive in maintenance so I would rather take matters into my own hands. Any thoughts? 1991 Camry fan problems

Hi All. Hopefully someone may be able to help me here. My daughters car (91 camery has two fans on the radiator). I believe one is for the A/C and the other for overheating. The problem is that both fans come on as soon as the ignition is switched on. This happens even first thing in the morning when the car is cold. I have had both relays replaced (as I was told that they can get a bit sticky and jam) but the problem is still there. I have also been told that it may be a sensor ?????
