Are red headlight bulbs legal in this country?
Hello all!!! I was wondering if red headlight bulbs were legal in this country. I have heard of them being used in Europe with better vision as a result. I figured that this might help me since my Jetta has daytime running lights and the headlights are not any brighter. In most areas I can get by with parking lights at 3 AM except for in the woods.

When I was younger (say 8 yrs ago) I got pulled over for having red corner turn signal bulbs in my Cavalier. Had to pay a 95 dollar fine and even see the freaken judge over it!!!! If your headlights aren't any brighter than your daytime running lights then I would suggest turning "ON" your headlights!!! HA HA If they are not any brighter then you have a problem like both your headlight bulbs are blown. Happened to me in my old Cavalier. If the headlight bulbs are blown then your daytime lights will run at night. GOOD LUCK

If you come across an accident at night, which lights do you see first, red or blue?
Blues are seen first, then red. The reverse is true in the day time.
If the Europeans are actually using red driving lights, it would help explain why they are driving on the wrong side of the road. Can't see where they are going.
Actually, yellow and white outperform red or blue for recognition.
