1999 Ford Explorer

Does anyone know if it is difficult changing the Thermometer and hoses on the radiator of a 1999 Ford Explorer? Also, what about the fuel filter? I'd like to have it done but do not have the funds so I want to try it myself. Just not sure how.

Thermometer? Do you mean thermostat? If so, it's easy. If you are replacing your hoses, just disconnect the lower radiator hose into a bucket, let drain. The thermostat is usually at the end of the upper fat radiator hose attached to the engine. Usually held on by 2-3 bolts. Remove bolts and thermostat will come right out.

Make sure you install the thermostat correctly. Observe how the old faces and install new one the same.
