Oil Leak Problem
I recently changed oil in my 2002 Hyundai Sonata.
I did not change the washer on the drain plug before reinstalling it.
I snugged the drain plug in the pan pretty good but did not over tighten.
After a few days I noticed a few drips of oil on my garage floor.
I checked the plug and it has oil on it .
I tried to tighten it but it was already pretty snug.
Could this drip be caused by not replacing the washer on the drain plug?

Most manufacturers recommend replacing the plastic washer every time. I have never had to, but some of us are lucky. You apparently were not. Replace the washer, available at most auto stores.
