need 4 heat
My mitsubishi 03 galant is not passing coolant through the heater core. It seems the selector applies a ground and no voltage? I tried to pass air through the heater core with the in and out clamped off, engine hot hoeses off and no luck. It doesn't look like the cable is opening a valve? I'm lost trying to save some money.

If you disconnect the heater core hoses directly coming out the firewall and you cannot flush it out with a hose, it means the core is too badly clogged and needs replacement.
Feel both your heater hoses when car has been running for 10 mins. BOTH hoses should be hot. If one is hot, the other cool, then you have a clog. If both are hot, and you have no heat, you probably have a blend door/motor problem.
