Problem with 2000 Chev/Suzuki Tracker

My wife has a 2000 Chev Tracker with the 2 litre engine. It developed a stutter last week. I thought fuel filter and changed it. No difference Checked plugs and coils OK. Mechanic checked fuel pump and injectors everything OK. No codes showing. It's now at the auto electric shop and they're baffled too. Not wanting to change computer or wiring harness unless needed. Any ideas we've missed. It will run smoothly for a while and then start stuttering as if not getting fuel.
Thanks,
Larry

Have them take a look at the throttle position sensor. These will make car run like poo.
