CD stuck in 6 CD changer

I own a 2003 MPV with the in dash 6 cd changer. I recently went to the local library, checked out a few CDs, got in the car and stuck one in. When it would not load successfully I realized my mistake. The library in its infinite wisdom puts stickers all over the CDs for identification purposes. Now the cd changer does not work.

So..... I cannot see a disk when peering in the little slot. The device purrs and whirs then shuts down.

What are my options? Remove the changer myself? I dislike the idea of doing this myself. Go to the dealer? For how many $$$$? Sue the library for the cost of a new device? :-)

Any ideas, words of wisdom?

I had a radio with a bad display; went to dealer and a car stereo repair shop; both wanted like $80 to $100 to remove it and then more $ for part(s) and time. It would almost be cheaper to buy a new unit and put it in myself; I sold the car.
You could likely take it out and see if you can take it apart yourself (what else do you have to lose at this point?) and if that fails, take it to a place or replace it. You'll have to weigh the economics in my opinion.
Look at crutchfield.com for new ones.
