A/C problem 1993 Tracer
1993 Tracer 4 cylinder with automatic
My sister swears that last week the A/C was working. I replaced the radiator and now she says the A/C doesn’t work.
When I turn on the A/C the blue light on the on/off button lights up as normal but the radiator fan doesn’t come on and the clutch doesn’t engage. Neither does it work when I hit the defroster. The radiator fan does work to cool the engine and the blower motor fan works.
I went to check the fuse but I have never seen this type before. It is a black object about ½ x ½ x 1 inch high and I couldn’t remove it to check it.
What should I look at and where is the control module and how would I access it if I need to check it?
Thanks!!
Chuck

It could be a few things:
Low on refrigerant
High/low pressure switch
Control panel
Thermostatic switch (in airbox)
What you were looking at was the A/C relay, not a fuse.
I just had the same problem in my wifes Stratus and it turned out to be the control panel.
When replacing the radiator, did you remove the A/C lines going too the condensor?
Also, you can test the compressor by putting a jumper wire in the relay cavity, but get a wiring schematic for the relay box first. I think it's pin 87 and 86a, not sure.
