Oil Pressure

While I can't say specific to your motor, 30-40 psi is pretty much the norm for most engines. Cold oil/engine will be higher than one that's reached operating temp. What pressure do you have?

I have a 1990 Chevy C2500 with a 350 cu. in engine that the gauge reads 30 psi oil pressure. Remember it is the pump that produces the pressure but it is the camshaft and crankshaft bearings that sustain the pressure, if they are worn you will loose pressure. I would try a heavier motor oil if you think that might help.
