2003 Gmc Seria
My speedometer will stick at different speeds like 60 mph, when i stop the truck it is like 60 mph is 0 mph then when I take off it goes to 65 70 75 and so on. then when I stop the engine and then restart it the speedometer will go back 5 mph so if I turn off and on the engine it will go back to 0 mph This happens mostly when it is wet but it has happened when it is dry .

Does your cruise control still work properly?
This may be an indication of a faulty speed sensor located on the side of the tranny.
After reading some, looks like this is a very common thing on a GM, go figure.....another fault added to their list...anyways, most people had to replace the speedometer and speed sensor costing upwards of 1,000.

any other problems?
Do you have any other driveability problems? The speed sensor is part of your computer loop and controls many things like torque convertor lock up egr valve etc. Any engine codes?
