How easy and how do you replace front brakes on 1998 Chevy Silverado 2X4 ext. cab. Need new front brakes, but want to do myself. Any helpfull sites to go for instructions.

A service manual always comes in handt for DIY projects. Nothing different about changing pads on a truck, but the caliper bolts take a metric allen socket wrench, and they are very tight. I think they used Loc-Tite at the factory. The manual will tell you to use tool XXXXXX to push back the caliper pistons, but most anything handy will work, I used a C clamp. But check how much fluid is in the reservoir, and possibly suck some out, since what is in the lines is forced back into the reservoir
