info on power locks for a 2001 hyndai elantra GT

hi, there is currently a dispute between me and the body shop fixing my car, I have a 2001 elanra Gt yr 2001, I have always had power locks in the front on BOTH sides, so that when you either lock the inside of the door from the PS or the DS by hand or from the outside, to lock/unlock, all doors would function together, besides the trunk. After the body shop took off my door and replaced w/a diff one,on the PS front.. there is no more function in the lock on the PS. But the weird thing is even the hyundai dealer is telling me there never was, I have had my car for 7 years and I KNOW there was a electrical mech on BOTh sides, my door also clicks now when the PS or DS front door is open, I know I am not going completely nuts, just wondering if anyone had a car like this or knows a little more, thanks! ( i pick my car up AGAIN today and would love to get to the bottom of this?)

 

I have a 2000 elantra gls and only the driver's side lock works all the other doors. When you open the driver's side with the key, they all unlock. Same for the inside driver's side door lock. The passenger side outside lock and inside door lock control only that door. If your 2001 is like my 2000, your dealer is correct.
