OnStar Replacement or Upgrade?

My Buick has OnStar and I was notified that my OnStar would nor be usable after 2007. What will be the fix for this situation?

Maybe your contract is up and you need to pay to have it used passed then......have you called them and asked?

I did hear rumors that some OnStar systems use Verizon as communications carrier, and Verizon is supposevly stopping their contract with OnStar. Not sure how muchof that is true....

Some years can be upgraded, and some can not. Go to the OnStar site, the information should be there. You didn't say what year and model Buick.

I seem to recall reading that some of the older Onstars were analog. The system is going all digital and the old ones will not work. I don't know if they will make an upgrade replacement. If the dollars are there - yes, otherwise you will have to upgrade the whole car.
