I'am a DIY amateur car mechanic

I live in an Apt. complex in the Marietta/Atlanta GA area and my landlord frowns on doing car repairs in the parking lot. I was wondering if anyone can post some links to any type of garages that can be rented for a day or whatever. I have my own tools.

Unfortunately those types of businesses are few and far between. Between the insurance and the EPA, I'm afraid it would be very expensive to operate.

If you're the right age for the Naval (or Marine) Reserve, the NAS in Marietta used to have a pretty decent auto hobby shop.

Do you have any friends/relatives who will let you make car repairs at their place?

The main reason landlords frown on car repair is they are leary that you might tear it down and then not get it back running in a short time. Broken down vehicles can make a nice place look bad. Some will make exceptions if you assure them you will have the repairs done in a timely manner. Others will make NO exceptions. I had a friend who was threatened with eviction because he checked the oil level [in his wore out chevy] every morning before going to work.
