emergency brake adjustment on 2001 ford f150
How do I adjust the emergency brake on a 2001 ford f150 4x4 with disc brakes? Thanks

On the older trucks you had an adjustment where the cable splits to go to each brake, usually about 1/2 way to the axle. I would assume yours would be that way also. I don't know if the little brake shoes for the e-brake are adjustable individually or not.

If you have disc brakes, there is no adjustment and the emergency/parking brake as no effect on pedal travel. The emergency/parking brake uses regular drum type shoes working in a small drum inside the rotor and is independant of the service brakes.

with rear disc you have to adjust them by removing the rear rotors and turning the star wheel. i dont beleive they added the little rubber plug for adjusting until the 04 model year.
