87 honda crx
i have a 1987 honda crx and i am currently trying to improve it's performance and appearenc as well, but i can't find out why my engine is running so loud. when it is in park it idles between 2 and 3 thousand rpms and when i put it in gear it idles down and becomes more quiet and calm. i was wondering what all the possible problems could be and what i can do to fix it?

idle
Maybe someone turned up the idle because it had problems idling. If that is the case, once you turn down the idle then you will probably know why it was turned up in the first place. Dont forget to check the timing, too.
