1992 Ford Explorer
Hello, I own a 1992 Ford Explorer, and my driver's side power mirror was recently torn off. I already purchased a used one from a lot, just not sure how to install it exactly. Any help please?

Should be pretty straightforward depending on the mounting location. If it's up high on the door, at window level, there should be a trim piece that pops off, or maybe has a small screw, from the inside. Under that would be the mount bolts/screws and the electrical connector. If the mounting is lower, it would involve removing the inside door panel to gain access to the door cavity where you would find the mounting hardware. To remove the inner door panel you first need to remove any screws or other attaching points. Then the perimeter of the panel will pop off with a little prying. There is a special type of pliers to do the job or if you're real careful any tool with a wide flat blade can be used.
Just did a quick lookup online and looks like it's a high mounted one. Look for a triangular shaped trim piece inside opposite the mirror. SHold pop off or maybe have one screw holding it in place. Hopefully you got a good deal on the used one; I see the new replacement is about $85.
