Cool F150 stuck in park

I know on my Chevy sometimes it would stick in park and I couldn't turn the key. I had to take the steering wheel and pull it real hard in one direction to get the key to turn and get it out of park.

Sounds like the key turn isn't a problem if he can start the vehicle. Is the vehicle on a slope with the parking brake off? May be just a little too much weight on the parling pawl.

Also, are your brake lights working; possible problem with brake light switch.

Fords will not allow you to take the vehicle out of park if the brake lights are not working. A blown fuse will cause this. You can put the vehicle into neutral totart it, then you will be able to drive it, but it is most likely the fuse to your brake lights.
