2003 Ford Taurus Sedan
The rear drivers side door, window won't work. Removed door panel and troubleshooting shows power to the to the motor from switch. Also motor is getting warm and window won't budge.
There is only one bolt and 4 rivets. Has anyone had experience replacing these motors? Does the window regulator come out with the motor. Thanks in advance for any info.

the first thing you have to do is position window so you can drill out rivets suport window while doing it punch out center of rivets with awl after that is done window is should be free to slide up down tape glass over frame if moter doesnt move tap with a hammer you need to get regulater in strate to remove it do rivets like glass and bolts think 2 bolts unplug remove motor is bolted to regulater do NOT UNBOLT MOTOR,high tension where areyou gettin replacement j yard or dealer sometimes motor and reg together if you have to seperate put in vice remove bolts and install in reverce order if you break plastic circle thing auto part store or glass shop should have em you can glass shop do job you will need big rivets and rivet gun called a big daddy good luck

Last Ford window motor I replaced was on a '92 F150. Unless this one is a lot different, the rivets can be replaced with short bolts and self-locking nuts. Just have to make sure nothing will interfer with the travel of the window and all the mechanisms.
