2001 Chev Impala - Starting
When I try to start the car I insert the key, turn to on and all power is activated. When turning the key to start the car there is nothing. Not even a sound. I turn the key to off and exit the vehicle. I push the hand held remote starter and the car starts.
Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

VATS response
Thanks for the response. I'll take a look at it or is it not something that I can do. Someone told me to remove the positive battery cable to reset the computers. I don't know if that will work, but it sounds reasonable to me.

I think Goldstar was suggesting you should try with your foot ON the brake pedal. I know there was at least one make/model of car you had to do that; found out by accident several years ago while doing a jump-start [don't remember what it was]. Don't think that's the problem, though, or you would have noticed it before.
